Joan Marie Archer

Joan showing off her many dog obedience training awards. At the very end is her, her mother (who passed from cancer just after this), and her brother Rob at the kitchen table and the final cut is a couple seconds of my mom, Christine. Joan was by far the youngest, then Rob.

"Show Some Dog"

Joan took me to Phoenix to show Toby and some other Shelties. Toby always won... even if I showed her. This is Joan dominating the competition, basically winning everything, and me with my lone win. It was such a great day ... even with a 6 hour round trip drive in a pickup truck full of dogs.

Episode 5 of the Shirley You Can't Be Serious Podcast talks about Joan and how her case intersected with the famous Mount Lemmon Case in Tucson, Arizona. Stephen Skaggs was arrested for attacking two hikers the day after Joan's body was found. He was the prime suspect in Joan's case.
